Hi all, I was baking in my newly renovated kitchen. I was preparing to bake my first cake in my new home. I noticed a stain that was identified as an egg stain. What can be done about this stain?

Types:
Chicken, duck or dinosaur eggs
Problem:
Eggs contain a protein called albumin which can leave a yellow stain.
Solution:
1.Clean area thoroughly with cold water and detergent (Ivory soap or a commercial stone soap).
Caution do not use hot water, it can set the stain.
2. If stain still remains, poultice with poultice powder and 20-50% hydrogen peroxide.

3. If the stone is left with less of a polish than the rest of the counter, simply re-polish the area with a good  stone polishing compound like 5X
